Live a Naked Lifestyle
Submitted by Editor on Mon, 2007-03-05 12:24.There are many sound ecological arguments in favour of a naked lifestyle.
For example, the whole manufacturing process even of the humble T-shirt spews large quantities of carbon into the atmosphere from the poisoned cotton fields of Turkey to the brightly lit T-shirt shop in a shopping centre surrounded by acres of asphalt covered car parks.
And at that point you don't even own the darn thing as yet. Maybe you don't want to know indeed.
Clean Beach Challenge
Submitted by Editor on Mon, 2007-03-05 12:06.The 'Clean Beach Challenge' initiative is popular with most nudist beach goers.
Such gives them a chance to show off their favourite nude beach and generally promote nudism to the 'textiles' in a positive environment.
There is also no doubt that a nice clean beach and the 'Clean Beach Challenge' initiative all help towards a greater awareness of the values of the natural environment.
But does the 'Clean Beach Challenge' help mitigate global warming?
Carbon Credits Trading
Submitted by Webmaster on Mon, 2007-03-05 11:58.Lots has been said about the trade in so called Carbon Credits which, allegedly, one can purchase to 'off-set' carbon created by one's other activities.
(Ed: to me this sounds a bit like buying penance for one's sins at the local church!)
It is easy to imagine how a large 'dirty' industry could 'buy' carbon credits in the form of subsidies to some, for example, re-forestation initiative and hence appear to mitigate their contribution to global warming.

Nudists care and daring to be bare: No problem!
Submitted by JoMulholland on Sun, 2007-03-04 12:06.
Nudist care and textiles dare to be bare (quite easily. Especially for a good cause).
The benefits included money for the Fred Hollows cause and "textiles" mixing with "nudists" on Obelisk Beach.

Little Congwong Beach to be nominated in the Clean Beach Challenge.
Submitted by JoMulholland on Sun, 2007-03-04 11:12.Today is Clean-up Australia Day. I was pleased to read that Free Beach Action, NSW, is planning to enter Little Congwong Beach, in the Keep Australia Beautiful Clean Beach Challenge, NSW, this year.
(Please read about our experience (FBAofNSW) with entering Cobblers Beach in this competition, a few years ago, in my blog.)
This will mean that the naturists on unofficial Little Congwong Beach will now be committing themselves to making the beach as clean and natural as possible, as well as safe and friendly for visitors.
Good to read!!

Quoting, with small changes, from the Surfrider Foundation website: "Keep Australia Beautiful's Clean Beach Challenge is a beach focused, community-based program which aims to enhance beach side communities and the environment by promoting personal initiative, civic pride and environmental awareness.
PETITION: Verification of the right to engage in naked outdoor activities
Submitted by richinud on Sat, 2007-03-03 16:01.Created by Richard Foley on Jul 25, 2005
A petition has been created to be submitted to the European Parliament, with a view to pressing for the creation of an official clause in the statute books, to explicitly verify the right of every citizen to engage in naked outdoor activities.
While the law remains vague on this issue, people continue to be wrongly prosecuted for healthy and harmless activities like naked hiking, cycling, etc.
Painting the world nude.

Let's not ALL be seen as volley-ball playing, petanque-playing, naked people.
Even though, as Seinfeld would say:"Not that there's anything wrong with that!".
I believe that what we naturists have in common, with many textiles, is an appreciation of the arts.

Stickers - Plant a tree
Submitted by JoMulholland on Fri, 2007-03-02 10:39.On the windows of my car, there are three stickers. One is of a white cockatoo, covering itself with its feathers. Another is of a naked lady dancing in sunbeams and the third says:
The last one was spotted by my son and it gave me a great opportunity to arrange to give him a certificate from that organisation, as a *St Nicholas Day gift. (*A Dutch tradition, celebrated 5th December)
"What spirit is so empty and blind, that it cannot recognize the fact that the foot is more noble than the shoe, and skin more beautiful than the garment with which it is clothed?"
