Why limit ourselves to nude beaches? Because we are made to!
It feels a bit like being driven into the sea. I trust that on this site and through my own blog here, my understanding of the situation will be believed.
Eco nudes basically advocates taking it off and letting it go, wherever suitable, or possible, to protect what we have.
The editorial in Issue 3 of the new Sun and Health mentions lobbying for more than just beaches. This was, apparently partly, due to a visit to the camping area behind Samurai Beach.
Now there are reports of NPWS officers, in recent weeks, ordering naturists, on the grassed area, just behind Cobblers Beach to 'cover up' their nudity.
In other words making the people there walk the few metres to sit on the sand.

If anyone should perhaps read this, who has not been to Middle Head, Sydney, be aware that the small grassed area behind the beach is just as hard to reach, just as hard to see from the rest of Middle Head, as the sandy part.
It all seems to me a bit symbolic of what we are on about here. Eco nudes wanting us to go out into the world as far as we can to improve the eco system. The authorities, apparently, driving those who ARE wearing no clothes onto an even smaller area, below Middle Head.

Camping Area? Are you kidding?
This was, apparently partly, due to a visit to the camping area behind Samurai Beach.
There is no camping area. Just dunes. Not even a track into the dunes, let alone flat ground or facilities of any kind. Just a few "wild" campers...
Considering that it's right next to the Samurai Beach Resort and a campground, you gotta be really keen :)
"Camping area" ?
Thanks for that. I have never seen it myself. Guess I assumed that it was / is a long established and, until recently, unofficial camping 'area'.

Nothing there but sand...
Nothing there but sand... And evidence of missing toilet facilities... I must say that I totally understand the NPWS' point of view...

Pity that there cannot be
Pity that there cannot be some arrangement then with Middle Rock or the replacement of Bardots...........or something!
Middle Rock were always supportive of our (FBAofNSW) annual carnivals.
