Nudist Songs, A bit about our band

Submitted by naked-drummer on Sun, 14/03/2010 - 08:07

I have been a keen nudist for approximately 18 years, embracing the lifestyle and all it has to offer. Dennis one of my mates have been friends for almost as long and have played music together on and off over the years. When putting the band together, after a while, I being a nudist and a drummer decided to combine both my interests and wrote my first nudist song, "Got To Be A Nudist" with Dennis putting the music to it. We added this to our repertoire and got such good feedback about it from both nudists and non-nudists alike, that we decided to write more. The band has now found their songs communicating a better understanding of what the Nudist Lifestyle is all about, as well as providing a window of opportunity to explain it to people so they are better informed. The Baileys Road Band

I saw this band last year at the Cooroy Colony on the Sunshine Coast when they were launching their self-released album "Songs For Nudists".
It is light quirky cabaret pop which sounds like the band Skyhooks, as well as King Missile and Ween. Songs like "Why Didn't You Tell Me?", "I Got To Be A Nudist" all deal with nudist issues that many of us face. Musically it's geared more to an older audience which would be sound at home on stations like Brisbane's 4BC and 4BC than the JJJ and Austereo crowd although still good to dance to at parties nonetheless.
Best listened to naked and loud. :)
